Research, not advice. This is what I found in public sources about prop trading firms. It is not financial advice or a recommendation to buy any challenge. A challenge is a paid evaluation: most people who try one do not get funded, and the fee is usually not returned. Rules, prices and ratings change often, so confirm everything on the firm’s official site. Some links here are affiliate links, explained in the affiliate disclosure. See the full disclaimer.
Is Alpha Capital Group worth it? My quick verdict
Alpha Capital Group appears in every “best prop firm” list I found, and almost always on affiliate-driven sites. That is why it finishes tenth in my Top 10. The firm is not shown to be bad; the evidence about it is simply the weakest of the ten: conflicting ratings, unconfirmed regulatory claims and payout conditions that matter more than the headline “on-demand” label.
What is Alpha Capital Group?
Alpha Capital Group is a forex and CFD prop firm described in reviews as UK-based, with a profit split of up to about 90% and on-demand or bi-weekly payout options. I could not verify its founding date or head office from the sources I could reach. A related futures brand, Alpha Futures, appears in some roundups, and this review covers the CFD firm only.
How reputable is Alpha Capital Group?
- Public rating: one site lists 4.7 from about 1,200 reviews, another 4.2 from 213, and a third a far larger volume. I weight the lowest-certainty end of the range.
- Regulatory claim: sources call it “UK-based” and some list a “UK-regulated environment” as a pro, but I found no FCA register entry. That is marketing language until proven.
- Complaints: a tracker notes that traders reported issues but no one from the firm responded, with the caveat that its payout totals only include payouts processed through its own tracking.
- Source independence: many roundups carry affiliate codes, and the scores on one site changed between articles (6.9 and 7.2).
What do traders praise and complain about?
Praised: on-demand and bi-weekly payout options and a high maximum split.
Complained about or flagged:
- Conditional on-demand withdrawals: a 40% best-day rule means you can be profitable and still not eligible to withdraw.
- Trade duration: at least 50% of gross profits must come from trades held more than two minutes, per one reviewer, which affects scalpers directly.
- Mid-pack payout speed: one review lists a 2 to 5 business-day window as a weakness.
I could not load Reddit from my research tools, so please read recent discussions there before deciding.
Which Alpha Capital rules should you read before buying?
- The best-day / consistency percentage for on-demand withdrawals.
- The minimum trade duration rule.
- The exact regulatory status of the entity you contract with.
- How complaints are handled.
How much does Alpha Capital cost and how do payouts work?
Prices vary by size and plan. Judge it by the effective payout: with a 40% best-day rule and duration conditions, your real eligibility is what matters, not the label “on demand”. Compare with the transparent per-cycle table at FundingPips and the rules at FTMO.

Scores are my own editorial judgement from public sources, not a measurement. Weights are shown next to each criterion.
Alpha scores around the middle on most criteria but has no standout evidence, which is why it finishes last. See the full Top 10 for how it compares with the strongest names.

Reminder: I do not claim that any firm here is safe, that you will pass a challenge, get funded or be paid, or that trading will be profitable. Ratings are my editorial judgement from public sources, which are often affiliate-funded and sometimes disagree. Commissions never change a score. Only pay what you can afford to lose.
