Research, not advice. This is what I found in public sources about prop trading firms. It is not financial advice or a recommendation to buy any challenge. A challenge is a paid evaluation: most people who try one do not get funded, and the fee is usually not returned. Rules, prices and ratings change often, so confirm everything on the firm’s official site. Some links here are affiliate links, explained in the affiliate disclosure. See the full disclaimer.
Is The5ers worth it? My quick verdict
The5ers is the firm I would read right after FTMO. It has the second-longest forex history in my list, a very large public review base, and a more unusual structure: instead of one standard challenge it gives you three routes, and a profit split that can climb to 100%. In my Top 10 ranking it is number two, held back only by how often its rules and numbers differ between sources.
What is The5ers?
The5ers was founded in 2016 in Israel and sells funded-trader programs to forex and CFD traders. Reports differ on the head office (Ra’anana and Tel Aviv are both named), and one review says it supports well over 200,000 funded traders across programs, a figure I could not verify. The three programs are:
- Hyper Growth (one step): small accounts and a quick route to funding.
- High Stakes (two steps): the conventional challenge with larger accounts.
- Bootcamp (three steps): a staged route with tighter risk limits and a required stop-loss on every trade, according to one source.
How reputable is The5ers?
- Time in business: since 2016, which is long in this industry.
- Public rating: quoted between 4.7 and 4.9 on Trustpilot, from about 21,000 to 28,000 reviews in most 2026 roundups. The 4.9 figure came from a much smaller sample, so I weight the 4.7–4.8 range.
- Safety grades disagree: one tracker gave it a C and another an A+ based on rating and years in business. That is a reminder that grades are opinions.
What do traders praise and complain about?
Praised: the growth path (Bootcamp and scaling), the long history, and the very high maximum split.
Complained about or flagged by reviewers:
- Rules that moved. A tracker logged drawdown updates in April 2026, and sources disagree on current limits for each program (for example 3% daily and 6% total for Hyper Growth in one tracker, a 6% static maximum in another review).
- Inactivity policy. One review reports accounts close automatically after about 30 days of inactivity.
- Complicated pricing. Prices and starting splits differ by program and by source.
I could not read Reddit threads directly, so check recent forex-trading discussions on Reddit as well as the live Trustpilot page.
Which The5ers rules should you read before buying?
- The drawdown for your exact program (daily and total, static or trailing).
- The stop-loss requirement on Bootcamp.
- The payout schedule: reported as bi-weekly from April 2026, with an on-demand option mentioned by some sources.
- The inactivity rule.
How much does The5ers cost and how do payouts work?
I will not quote prices: sources I found disagreed (entry fees quoted from about $39 for the smallest High Stakes account to a few hundred dollars for larger Hyper Growth and Bootcamp accounts), and prices change. What matters is the pattern: lower starting splits in some programs, with a path to 100%, so compare the early split, not just the maximum, with FTMO or FundedNext.
The5ers pros and cons
Pros
- Long operating history and large public review base.
- Three program styles, which suit different risk appetites.
- Scaling to a very high profit split.
Cons
- Rules and numbers vary between sources, so older reviews are unreliable.
- Inactivity policy.
- Starting splits can be lower than rivals in some programs.
Who is The5ers best for, and who should skip it?
Best for forex traders who like a staged, growth-oriented route and are willing to read program-specific rules.
Think twice if you want one simple, unchanging ruleset or you take long breaks from trading.
How I scored The5ers
- Track record and stability 25%4.5
- Public rating and review volume 25%4.5
- Payout evidence 20%4
- Rule stability and transparency 15%4.5
- Conditions and value 10%4
- Support and verification 5%4
Scores are my own editorial judgement from public sources, not a measurement. Weights are shown next to each criterion.
The5ers scores well on track record, rating and rule stability, and loses a little on conditions because of the starting splits and the program complexity. Compare it with every other firm in the Top 10.

Reminder: I do not claim that any firm here is safe, that you will pass a challenge, get funded or be paid, or that trading will be profitable. Ratings are my editorial judgement from public sources, which are often affiliate-funded and sometimes disagree. Commissions never change a score. Only pay what you can afford to lose.
