Research, not advice. This is what I found in public sources about prop trading firms. It is not financial advice or a recommendation to buy any challenge. A challenge is a paid evaluation: most people who try one do not get funded, and the fee is usually not returned. Rules, prices and ratings change often, so confirm everything on the firm’s official site. Some links here are affiliate links, explained in the affiliate disclosure. See the full disclaimer.
Is Alpha Futures worth it? My quick verdict
Alpha Futures is the most conflicted entry in my Top 10 futures prop firms. On paper it looks excellent: a quoted 4.9 rating, a 90% split from the first payout and a forgiving end-of-day drawdown. In July 2026 the picture changed, with reports of plan closures, a forced platform move and delistings. That is why it ranks tenth: not for proven wrongdoing, but because a firm in transition is a firm you should test with the smallest possible account.
What is Alpha Futures?
Alpha Futures describes itself as UK-based and part of the Alpha Group alongside Alpha Capital Group; I could not confirm that link independently. It offers one-step evaluations on ES, NQ and CL with an end-of-day drawdown.
How reputable is Alpha Futures?
- Public rating: 4.9 from 4,168 reviews in June 2026, per CoinCodeCap. A tracker scored it 60/100 (3.0) and noted unanswered trader reports.
- Payout totals: $18.9 million across 9,237 payouts (one review) versus about $25.8 million across 12,241 (a tracker). They disagree.
- July 2026 reports: from El Trader Financiado, a competitor, so weigh them accordingly.
What do traders praise and complain about?
Praised: the forgiving drawdown and a tester’s report of about $8,000 in payouts over 15 months with no disputes. Complained about:
- Unequal plan treatment. Premium traders reportedly were not offered migration and had accounts closed.
- Platform change. The NinjaTrader/Tradovate arrangement reportedly ended on 12 July 2026.
- Delisting and payout delays. Reported delistings by Prop Firm Match, PropFirmWise and PickAPropFirm; check those sites directly.
I could not read Reddit directly; please read recent futures subreddits.
Which rules should you read before buying?
- The current plan lineup (Premium replaced Standard on 1 May 2026).
- Payout caps ($15K Advanced; $6K Premium and Zero) and the 40% consistency rule on Zero and Advanced payouts, plus 50% on Advanced evaluation.
- The platform requirement after July 2026.
How much does it cost and how do payouts work?
A 90% split from the first payout is attractive, and the subscription model matters for total cost. Compare with Topstep and Elite Trader Funding.
Alpha Futures pros and cons
Pros
- Very high quoted rating and a forgiving EOD drawdown.
- 90% split from the first payout.
Cons
- July 2026 closures, platform change and delistings reported.
- Conflicting payout totals and a thin independent record.
Who is it best for, and who should skip it?
Best for traders who want an EOD drawdown and accept transition risk. Think twice if plan or platform changes would hurt, or you want long-standing stability.

Reminder: I do not claim that any firm here is safe, that you will pass a challenge, get funded or be paid, or that trading will be profitable. Ratings are my editorial judgement from public sources, which are often affiliate-funded and sometimes disagree. Commissions never change a score. Only pay what you can afford to lose.
